Privacy Policy

GradTrackr helps you plan grad school applications: the programs you're interested in, their prerequisites, your coursework, and where each application stands. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address and a password (stored securely by our login provider; we never see your password).
- What you add: your undergrad school, schools and programs you track, deadlines, notes, prerequisites, checklist items, and the courses, credits, terms, and grades you enter or import from your transcript.
- Profile settings: your accent color and the school logo link you choose.
- Shared program library: if you add a program to the shared library, its name, requirements, and source link are visible to other GradTrackr users. Your personal board is not.
We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your board, track progress, match your courses to prerequisites, and send sign-in and password-reset emails.
- To improve GradTrackr and keep it secure.
AI features
When you paste a school's requirements or your transcript, or click "Match my courses," that text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to turn it into a checklist or suggest matches. Only the text needed for that request is sent, and only when you click the button. Anthropic processes it under its own commercial terms and privacy policy.
Who else handles your data
We use a few trusted services to run GradTrackr:
- Supabase stores your account and data and handles sign-in.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Anthropic powers the AI features described above.
We may also share information if required by law.
Share links
If you create a share link from your Profile page, anyone who has that link can see a read-only view of your board: schools, statuses, deadlines, prerequisite and checklist progress, and your courses with grades. Your notes and email are never shown. You can turn the link off or replace it at any time, and the old link stops working right away.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete any school, prerequisite, checklist item, or course at any time.
- To delete your account and all of its data, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
Security
Your data is protected by access rules that let only you read or change your own board. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Students under 18
GradTrackr is meant for college students and graduates. It isn't intended for children under 13.
Changes
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app.
